Installation Guide for Conventional Comments Helper
Installing from Chrome Web Store
- Visit the Chrome Web Store
- Click the "Add to Chrome" button
- Confirm the installation when prompted
- The extension will automatically activate on GitHub.com
Verifying Installation
To verify that the extension is installed correctly:
- Open any GitHub pull request or issue
- Click on a comment box
- You should see the Conventional Comments toolbar appear above the comment box
Requirements
- Google Chrome browser (version 88 or later)
- GitHub.com account
- Access to the Chrome Web Store
Troubleshooting
If you don't see the toolbar:
- Make sure you're on GitHub.com
- Try refreshing the page
- Check that the extension is enabled in Chrome:
- Click the puzzle piece icon in Chrome's toolbar
- Find "Conventional Comments Helper"
- Ensure it's enabled (the toggle should be blue)
